Options to look different
Now don't go off on me,I'm not one of the lower riding, blingin on twenty fos and such LOL I'm looking at a '96 2500 2wd that I'm really liking. My opinion on it is if its 4wd lift it if its 2wd then lower it. I'm mostly a 4wd guy but I'm wanting a truck that I can haul my junk in and pull my 4wd truck to the woods or my muscle car if need be(ain't got the muscle car but hopefully one day LOL) I can't stand for my truck fit into the crowd. This truck I'm looking at is the basic Cummins truck, solid white, very basic, the chrome wheels and white topper. I've thought seriously if I get it to lower it slightly for a better ride quality and stance. I've looked but can't find anything to do such, any help on that!? Also on just any other things to make the truck look a little different. I thought bout some sort of Cummins graphic that could run at a angle across the door and part of the bed but don't know. Just things to make it stand out but don't want that god awful LOOK AT ME look. Like I've seen some 4wds with the triple hook chrome light bar with 40 lights and huge front bumper and such lol Little help?

I was looking at the air-ride technologies 4-link a while back. Can adjust the height (so you're not in the weeds all the time), and its still made for towing and hauling. And it'll soften the ride when unloaded. But its pricey. $1600 USD for just the rear, need the compressor(s) and tank(s), and the front to match. I e-mailed a shop about 3 weeks ago for a price on a complete setup, an I was looking at close to $4k CDN, which is about $3400 USD.

Hmmm, I don't see why you could not reverse the springs and axle. Put the axle on top of the springs. You would just need to get the pinion angle re-set. You might have to get different shocks, but I am just thinking off the top of my head.
I am sure you can find a front lowering spindle kit for a 2wd if you google it.

Why cant we just be satsified with factory stuff??
How about ground effects?? Air dams, skirts, etc....Then there no headache of suspension problems...2wd's look low to begin with anyway...
Fiverbob's truck looks low to me...

I'm not much for lowered trucks, but his was unique enough that it wasn't bad.
