Do you think that the BD Super B Special will be a good choice for my truck? I just can't afford going to twins right now. I hardly ever tow and if I do it's a car trailer. I have moved up to Mach 4.5 injectors. My HTT 62/12 is a great turbo and I can spool it quick. but it looks like I have outgrown it as my EGT's are up there again on WOT runs. I have a buyer for my 62/12 so I figured now would be a good time to upgrade but is the BD special (64/71/14) too big? will it bring down my EGT's? Will it still be ok around town? I have a HO 6-speed if that helps. Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make an informed decision. Is anybody running one currently? How do you like it?

 

why dont you just send your turbo to HTT and have them upgrade it for a few hundred dollars and go from there it would save a lot of money

 

I did a lot of research on that turbo and actually talked with the tech. at BD on several occasions and he insisted that that turbo was definitely not a good choice for my 12 valve street driven truck. Not sure about your truck but I know another member that runs the same turbo as me and has the same year truck as you and absolutely loves it!
