Unhappy Oooops

I was in third gear pulling up hill with comp on 5x5 and out of the blue a rookie cop pulls me over for excessive noise and acceleration. I meant Any way he wrote me four tickets for nothing. Good thing he was on the exhaust side becuase he couldn't hear me burnin rubber . Its stack time baby.

p.s. anyone else have this pleasure?

JIM

p.p.s I cant believe this cop could hate my wicked bad sounding Cummins

ive had warnings for no mud flaps and no fender flares. the lift is within legal limits. they have measured it a time or two.

I know that they measure lift hieght in Utah form the gound tho the lowest point on the frame. So a chevy has the advantage here because that is all you see is frame. I for 3/4 ton it is 27"

In Oregon if your bumber is x number of inches off the ground you have to get mud flaps. A few years ago I got a ticket in my old chevy(1973), it had a 6" lift and 36" swampers. Funny thing is I can't remember exactly how high your bumber can be but I think my chevy was to high stock. I put mud flaps on and took a pic and sent that with a check to the court. They sent my check back.

I got my flares the same time I got my lift,
got a kinda warning about the mudflaps when I got it inspected, they said they'd pass me,
but said I could still get pulled over for the lack of them,
so I fixed that ASAP.

I've never been bugged about anything about my truck, but know of at least 3 others in Utah with the same size lift, same size tires, and they got nothing but headaches from law enforcement.
