Is it okay to run 25psi at idle?????
I just rigged up my home brew walbro 392 system with a regulator and return line and let me tell you shw works like a hot darn.
NEVER BUY A HOLLEY RED, BLUE, OR BLACK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I RAN MINE FOR 2 WEEKS AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE AND DID THE WALBRO,
Anyway long story made short, my pressure regulator i bought only does 25-100 psi. The lowest i can go is 25 and the regulator is non refundable.
I am at 25 psi at idle and 21 wot. Is it okay?????? Is there a downside to running high pressure??????

A couple guys have had the vp bust a seal by running 30+ psi for a long time. Most have no problems. If you're worried about it you can try a different regulator. I'm running a sureflo regulator good for 18 at idle and 22 at cruise. Personally I'd run it as is.

I have been running 30psi at lidle for a few weeks now and havent had any issues....yet, I intend on installing a adjustable bypass inbetween the filter housing and VP. The GDP bypass that came with mine is wearing and started to lose FP because the piston was seizing in the housing so i stretched the spring out a bit

Glacier Diesel has a by-pass that comes with the Walbro fuel system:

Richard will sell the by-pass seperately and you can regulate the pressure down to a more reasonable 12 to 15psi. When I first installed my fuel system it would put out 26psi at idle. It was strongly recommended to get that pressure under 15psi.
Hope this helps.

different pumps are for different applications. i ran a red on my TBI landcruiser.. it worked just fine for the application.
there is nothing wrong with the Holley line of pumps but you have to size them accordingly.
NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY A DODGE IT COULD BREAK DOWN
hey i kinda sound like you

Had a Holley blue on for two years now with big line kit. Also still have factory lp on the side of the block. Idle at 25 wot drops it down to around 12 or so. Probly have 12k miles on the holley and not big prob. Do occasionaly have hard starts after idling for a good while then turnning truck of for a min. "like long drive thru line at the bank or fast food"
