OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
I would like to know who has run or seen a double shock mount on a 3500 dodge? I want to run one of these, and The brand I would like is realy only listed as for a 1500, but I can't see why it wouldn't work on the 3500. I have looked at skyjackers double mount, and although it is nice I like the fabtech model. I have used there products in the past, and know they have excelent build quality. What do you think, can you see any probalems?
This is the system I would like to use.

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
I used the bds dual shock kit on my truck (2500) ...........
the 1500's and 3500's I looked at were built the same so I don't see why it wouldn't work on them also, same goes for the fabtech kit
have you tried phoning fabtech tech support and asking them

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
I am going to call fabtech, will try and get thru tomarrow. Thanks for the BDS info, I hadn't looked at their site. I would prefer to use the fabtech double shock mount, I want to get away from the stock shock location. I plan on running resivor shocks and they don't come with a stud mount like stock.

Not positive, but you may have to be leary of your wheel backspacing if you go with the Fabtech system... Especially if you are running a wider than stock tire. Just another question to ask them, I guess?

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
I know you said you preferred the Fabtech mount, but here's the Skyjacker mount for anyone who's curious. It's installed on a 3500 4x4 CTD, and it's done very well in severe off-road circumstances for about 15K miles. In the photo, a very good KYB Monomax is paired with a cheap Gabriel truck shock; the Gabriel was later replaced with another KYB mmx.

If you want serious off road performance I would use this set up. http://www.t-rexengineering.com/index2.html Its a little pricey but a good system.

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
Just a quick up-date. Called FABTECH and the offical answer is they "have not tested that product on a 3500 series truck". I ask will it fit the 2500, they said yes. I said they both have dana 60 front axels, and are the same in most respects. They said "they have not tested that product on a 3500 series truck"
Ok so I am going to go with this shock mount, I did get from them the cc shock heights compressed and extended, so I can order the right length shocks. I will use the BILSTEIN 5150's with 180-70 valving and limiting straps. I know T-REX has a nice kit, and to be honest when I'm done front and back My budget will be about the same as there kit. But I like to be different, and you will not walk up on another truck like mine. I am using the 7100 series shocks in the back, with air bags, and traction bars.

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
Just wondering if anyone knows what BDS stands for? I used their system on another truck I have and found out it used to be worded out untill they changed it to the letters only. By the way, the BDS system I installed was pretty nice. Nothing like that T-Rex system, thats cool!

Re:OFF ROADERS, SHOCK QUESTION
The set-up worked as I had hoped. The FabTech dual mount went right on and only need it a few adjustment. The mount looks awesome, and with the dual resivor shocks it is killer. I got to go for a drive today and was very, very pleased with the ride. Bumps the some much smoother now, and that clunk is gone. One thing I didn't expect to get was the front site about 1-2 inches higher now, and I can feel it going down the road. I suspect that will disapear when the winch and bumper go on. If you were thinking about this shock mount, give it a try, it was very streight forward and simple to install.
