OEM Factory Radio
I have the factory cd/cassette tape radio in my truck I believe its the prem sound package as I have the tweeters in the pillars and what not. I was just wondering if you any one of you guys know if there is rca jacks on the back of the unit? I am going to have my dash open up to install some switches and if there is i would like to hard wire my sirrius and get away from the fm stuff.

Thanks guys I just found the next best thing I guess I should have looked on sirius first check this out. All you have to do is unplug your fm anntana from the back of the radio plug it in to the box then plug the new one into the radio and then to you sirius and done its hard wired and no more static and traffic light interferance.
The SIRIUS FM direct adapter lets you send the signal from your plug-and-play radio directly to your vehicle's stereo. The direct connection eliminates the static and interference that can occur when using a wireless FM transmitter.

Does anybody know if this setup works with an Ipod?
If it does,do I need some kind of FM transmitter for the Ipod? Using a cassette adapter now with good sound but would like to eliminate the wires. Thanks!

DodgeCowboy, I just hook up the same thing to mine in Dec. (kids got it for me for Christmas) On my 04 the adapter would not fit my radio. But I learned from DTR members that behind the passenger kick panel theres a connector that will match right up. If it won't hook up to radio, try looking there.

Thanks Dan how was the sound quality compared to the FM stuff? I might just look at putting it on the kick panel if it will reach as i have my radio on the drivers side dash,

It sounds great. Before it would kinda fade in and out and sometimes pick up the radio 88.1. Now theres no fade, static or anything. Definately worth it. I mounted mine (Sirus Head) to the right of the steering column with velcro and had plenty of wire left over.
