OEM Alloys

Any one have a problem with the stock alloy on the sports the fancy ones crack I just had to buy new wheels last night cause of the alum alloys I went all steel this time. I look at so many of these fancy wheels and I cant believe there made for a HD pickup they have too have some kind of weight limit on them for the lack of material. I will get photos up soon as the new wheels go on.

When I was working at a tire shop years ago, that was a recurring issues with the wheels. Shame, they are good looking wheels.

I was skeptical with my road conditions and the weights I haul with aluminum wheels and once this puppy cracked I went straight too steel no more messing around. I cant believe half of this ghetto chrome wheels that have less metal are even recommended for a heavy duty truck can't wait too see the out come when some one breaks a spoke out of the wheel. If I recall when I was working at les schwab some of those wheels said straight up not for use over a certain weights

Yes a shame the 16' factory alloys crack I have a set and no cracks yet , I believe they are the best looking rim out there, the 17 inch alloys don't crack but they have a recall on a certain year I believe 04 or 05 for the possibility of cracking.
