nv5600 short throw shifter

alright, im inside my trans and i thought now would be as good as time as any to install a short throw shifter. are they worth it? do they work good? would you do it again? and where would i get one?

on my 4500, the gates narrowed up alot and the throws are 5-6 inches. No extra stick effort and the feel is very firm and quick. You kinda forget you have a truck transmission!!

Not bad. Got one on my 5600. I like it better than stock, but it is difficult to get into reverse sometimes now.

The lever effort is higher, and I have heard from people with DD clutches that it is even harder to shift, as in not recommended with your clutch.

i snapped the threaded portion of my BD short throw off the top of the shaft/base of the threads and had to weld it back on...i dont think it will break off again, thats for sure

thanks alot. nothing i hate more than to spend 250 bucks and find out that it dosnt work right. thats what this site is for tho.

I love mine. I would hate to go back to the stock length throws.
