Question NV4500 Rebuild..Tools?

I think its time to re-fresh the NV4500 and do some upgrades while I am at it. That being said, is this something you can do on the bench at home? I don't have a heavy duty press so it that going to be a problem to disassemble/reassemble the shafts and bearings in the case? I am comfortable pulling it down, I just want to know what I am up against..

Thanks!

i just did mine last fall i think we had a socket that was home built for the 5th gear nut. other than that we had a big chunk of steel plate that we droped the main shaft on to knock the gears of it. apearantly thats how most rebuilders do it. You could probably get away with a air chisel on the nut. we used one to get it extra tight after useing the socket. You need to really organinze cuz theres lots of parts and they all have to go back in the same order.
