Sounds like the truck is running proper. Excessive smoke is ineffeciency and wasted fuel.

Whats your fuel pressure at when youre romping it in 5x5?

I'm not up on boxes but if 5/5 adds timing then there would be more smoke than 2/5 wich might not add timing.

Sounds like something is wrong. There should be more smoke on 5x5 than on 2x5. All the settings have increased timing, and the higher you go the more fuel is added. How long have you had the comp hooked up? Has is just started to do this or has it always been like this? Start out on 1x1, and see how much smoke there is. Then go to 2, then 3, and so on through all the levels. Make sure you do a couple runs on each level. If it only has problems on 5x5, you probably have a defect in the box. If it only does it once in a while, you probably have a bad connection. Let us know what you find.
