No Smoke ?
I have RV275 injectors and the Van Aaken V5 , very happy
with the performance. I hear about other people with boxes
and RV275 injectors talking about smoke issues. I can't see
any smoke , even when I jump on it at low boost. Only time
I ever saw any smoke was when I got into the throttle at
night and saw some hase in the headlights of the car behind
me. Is this the way it's supposed to be. Not that i'm complaining

I know the comp box makes a lot of smoke w/o the injectors. (that's what I have) So if they are worried about smoke w/ those injectors and a comp box I'm sure that's mostly from the comp box itself, not the injectors. If they are worried about smoke w/ a different combo....I don't know.
I used to have no smoke at all either, but that box fixed that!!! Then I'm going with some rv275s too and hopefully there'll me even more smoke!

My Comp didn't add a lot of smoke to my set up......I guess we all have different opinions on what "a lot of smoke" is......on the higher sub level settings, it will let out a puff of low boost smoke but then mostly clears up at WOT......I do see a light haze at WOT on 5x5, though, but nothing like my 94!!! ......it smokes like a freight train!!!
There are many other more important factors to VP44 longevity than a wire tap box......as long as the LP is providing acceptable flow to the pump, the wire tap box will work fine......the electronic failures that occur within the pump control module are not related to the addition of a wire tap box. The mechanical failures that occur are the result of a seized pump shaft/vane are usually do to with overheating and lack of lubrication which is usually caused by inadequate LP pressures - the VP gets starved......
When a failure occurs after a wire tap box is installed, the box gets blamed, but the VP was more likely on it's last leg and the box just precipitated the existing problem.
