Ok, some updates! Finally

I received the cam back from Judge88 and found it to be fine. The trouble turned out to be a VP44 injection pump that was dying a slow and miserable death. No Way, say it aint so!! It would not constantly have trouble, just intermitantly so finding the probelm was a pain, until it finally gave the 0216 death code consistantly. LOL

The truck has a new cam and a new VP now.

life is good,

Don~

Good to hear that it got fixed, and it's always nice to see a vendor stand by his products, and generally provide support for his customers any way he can.

im beginning to wonder if thats what is wrong with my truck. im having a high RPM surge/miss with the box turned up to level 4-5. i ran the comp for a year, and 3 weeks after the drag upgrade im having this issue. im jsut waiting for the 216 code to show up...then i can save money again for a HRVP44

I thought I might have a cam issue too after installing the helix 2, but turns out mine was the VP44 as well. I had installed a new HRVP just the week before and it took a while to get it tapped right. Mike D helped get the tap wire right and it IS right now. Great low end torque.

no low end at all and bucks 1100 to 1275

This is what mine has been doing since new. Very little power at low end almost undriveable below 1600 rpm. Bucks between 1100 and 1275 rpm. Till July the motor would rev and scream but wouldn't develop much power. Now it is only half bad as an motor. Reading this was hoping that is might have been the cam this would have given me something else to look at. On third vp so thats now the reason. Oh well what can one expect from.......
