May not help with the install since you don't have the dash mount cup holder but this is what I did when I added the fog lights, backup lights, and grease switch. I got the switches from Off road Rockers, they can make them up for many different uses and colors.

This is member T-bone's installation, one of the cleanest I've seen:

Not exactly a bank of switches, but here is how I did one in my truck:

Lots of great ideas. Hotram, do you know where the round switch in the 2nd photo came from? The Offroad rockers also look nice.

I got the round switch at Autozone.

How about hidden switches? When I had my drag comp, I put it in the ashtray. If I ever need to mount switches (depending on what they are), thats where they will be going. Those Off-Road Rockers do look very nice, though.

I'm also considering placing them on the side of my seat.

Dredging up this good thread. I'm thinking about locating the Quadzilla switch inside the ashtray area. It's a tiny little 3 position lever type.

Seems like I could put a hole in the top (roof, if you will) of the ashtray, locate the switch there. The switch is so small, I don't think it would touch the ash tray door when closed (will check that more later).

Open the door, flip the switch, close the door. Stealthy. Anyone installed a switch in there?
