What have you all done to get the better ride? do you retain the payload capacity?........ lots of 2nd Gen owners would like to know I'm betting.

Hate to say, go take a new 2010 out for a rip? Its a pretty nice ride. I still use my 02 for work/daily driver, so I can have my cake and icing. I like both, equally.

Haven't actually done it yet, as funds ran out with this lovely economy...
I was planning on installing an air ride suspension. I have been in a couple of trucks with them, and I would have to say the ride equals or exceeds the comfort of a third gen easily. Not exactly cheap though, but since I intend to keep the truck, I don't mind so much. Hopefully get it done before the year is out...
I do have to say that replacing the OEM seat foam with 6" foam helped a lot as well. Much more comfortable seats for long rides these days!

Thats what I was thinking you were going to say....hard to beat a well setup air ride.
If I want a good ride and tight steering....I'll just have to jump in the semi. lol
