newbe here

new guy here, got a 2001 2500 4x4 cummins reg cab. 78,000 miles. i am looking for a good box (tuner) for good power but not hurt the truck.there are so many out there what do u guys recomend.buddy had a van akins box on his 01 ,he was happy with it but only noticed a differance while towing.i already have a 4 inch turbo back exs. i guess i am looking for the most bang for my buck ..... love the site kicks butt

Yer gonna need a fuel pressure gauge...really before you do anything to yer truck...what you see in my signature is a mild build...

ditto the EGT and fuel pressure gauges (at a minimum...i like a boost gauge as well). 4" exhaust and high flow air filter are good starts. EZ does a good job and it won't kill your trans as fast as a tapped box, but none of the performance upgrades will help it either.

Get a FP gauge and the SMARTY. You'll love it.
Oh ya did i say GET A FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Start saving for upgrades to the Trans. TC and VB are in order.
