I am about to aquire a Mystery Turbo as the guy calls it..Its made from a place called Auto Turbo Diesel in pheonix..The turbo is a 62-60-14..What do yall think about this..

If it really is a 60mm turbine, it'll light fast, and choke fast. Probably run into surge issues as well. Need a bigger turbine wheel IMO.

Or a 71, or a 73. Lots of options.

well i guess i will find out this saturday when i dyno...i will recieve it in the mail tommorow...ya i wanted sumtin bigger but hay i spent nuttin on the vgt i traded for it so not like im losing anything.

hope it doesn't mysteriously explode when you dyno because you have way too much fuel for it.

 

Ditto on that. That turbo would barely hold 350 hp without hitting 1500°F. With your mods I would be surprised if it lives more than a day.

 

well ive been runnin a hx35 off a 12v with the wast gate plugged and its been takin alot of abuse still spins good and the compressor wheel is all good

 

Its gonna surge and your going to get rid of it.

 

I hope its not one of those chinese turbos. The coin you save now can cost you a complete motor rebuild and I'll be honest, they are not cheap. You can get a nice used holset for 7-800.

 

71 turbine is awesome.

Its not a cheap company, Turbo Auto Diesel is the name. Not chinese junk, genuine Borg parts.
