New Turbo

I'm in the market for a new turbo. My issue right now is that with a tighter torque converter and my new 35" tires, my truck is REAL laggy and my EGT's run hot.

I was on Piers site and was looking at the PDR HX40 and the PDR Super S300. Any thoughts on these turbos? Pro's? Cons? Since it's on sale, with my current mods (listed below), will the PDR HX40 be a good choice? I use my truck for daily driving and I tow a slide-in camper and a trailer a few times a month.

Any other turbo suggestions? Maybe something where I don't need to replace my current downpipe. Or am I better off replacing that?

Whatever you get is probably going to be even laggier if you go bigger.

I wouldnt get an HX-40. A small S-300 variant will give you cool egts and you'll be happy towing. You have enough fuel for like a PS62/12.

Everything I've heard, I'd do this as well. I've already invested, just need to get it put on.

98.5Hotrod, what kind of egt's do you see with that turbo? I was kinda curious about that turbo after I read a install article in TDR for a 3rd gen. and found out that they replace the turbine housing with one that has a better outlet. I'd like to eventually run some Mach 4 injs. and a Quad Adrenaline and that sounds like it might be a descent turbo for my application.
