i am planning on putting in a DTT tc and vb because i dont have the money to buy a new transmition is there anything else i can do to get it to take more of a beating and aprok how mutch hp/tq will it be able to hold

More than likely you will be getting a few more parts than a vb and tc from DTT, i.e, update kit. Once you give them your trucks history, milage, current power level, etc, they will tell you exactley what you need. Take their advice and get what they recommend the first time, that way you never have to go back into it. $$$
