As far as running the manifold flipped, the one tested by John at Floor It for our dyno results was a 24 valve manifold flipped on a common rail motor, there were no fitment issues at all other than the downpipe. I dont quite understand the other post about cutting the flange turning it over and rewelding it, maybe theres something I dont know, please explain. If there is an issue we would be glad to build one modified to fit whatever need you have.

Since I've installed this header I've changed over to the 3000GSK. With that I had to detune via the smoke screw and the starwheel to lower the smoke output. I'm realizing 30psi on the stock HX35. Now that things have settled down some, the engine has lost most of that big surge you get when things light up. The power has spread out better, but not the big surge anymore. I attribute this to less drive pressure from the manifold and less fuel. What I believe next is a twin. So in conclusion I would suggest do not change to this header unless you have the availability to supply more air and fuel.

I am considering this manifold as well as installing a 4" exhaust but I don't want excessive noise. Can I get a muffler that will keep the noise down and give maximum airflow for this setup and stock turbo???
I would like to go to bigger injectors some day but I hauled a friends 11K RV today and saw some pretty high EGTs. I may have some other issues cause I had hauled another RV (15K) sometime back and could push really high speeds without high temps.

Get a intake not just a drop in filter IMO. There are so many more parts that will help you pull your trailer better for $850... I know others will chime in but to me that is way to much for a nearly stock truck like I have. For those guys with everything already on their trucks looking to get that extra power than it will probably help. Put a set of DDP's and 4" exhaust and use the extra $300 for fuel to go camping.
Almost every 4" comes with a muffler and they sound WAY better than the stock exhaust, it seems to me my motor is quieter due to the better airflow (intake and exhaust). Also get a 3k kit and you will be a happier 12V auto owner.

I am in the same boat as everyone else, it looks cool, but it is to darn expensive right now. When mine cracked I just got another replacement. I was hoping for some kinda power gain for a grand. I understand the fact of lower EGTs and I like the wont crack feature.

From my understanding and experience the SS manifolds hold more heat; So it would give higher EGT readings. Before i installed the afe SS exhaust manifold egt readings usually read 400-450 on the hwy now its rarely 400 and mostly low 500's. but it did provide noticeable performance on spool up.

This manifold is junk, more later on that and pictures, after years of trying the seller refuses to contact me, Larry has tried also. Not a good guy that is for sure. And........ the manifold does not work, your stock one works better. Look at the tubes for cylinder 2 through 5. They are 90 degrees perpendicular to where they are directing the flow towards the pipe. They should be angled to make the flow go towards the exit. That is why your stock manifold works better .
