New performance injectors???
Hey do you guys think these are worht it?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...spagenameZWD1V
This is for my 24v, I'm looking for a little more pulling power. I've so far lost the turbo plate and install a BHAF. What can I spend my $300.00's on?
Thanks

ya I agree...go with nozzles...I'd go with jammer stage 5's you'll love 'em. I got them for $412 canadian...so thats probably around $325-$350. If you don't have the guages get at least a fuel pressure and EGT. When you start building up the poneys you have to watch your temps...don't want it to get too hot and not know

Well, my goals are, I use this 24v for pulling. That's about it. I want to be able to have 20K lbs in tow and run 70 - 75 mph. If I catch a hill I want to catch a gear and matain the speed.
Now the deal with just nozzels, how do I swap them out? I 've changed injectors before in a 6.5 Chevy, I can do that in about 2 hours. I never swaped out nozzels.
I have a fp gage installed outside the cab.
thanks

at 20k in tow and hitting hills i am still going to stress a EGT gauge.
tranny auto or manual? pulling 20k with either isnt easy work and putting injectors on top of that may exceed your limit.
the proper method for nozzles isnt just replacing them with whatever size you buy, you should also get them pop tested to find if an injector may be worn out.

I put the stage 2 jammer nozzles on mine along with A mad ecm, great combo for just daily driving or towing. With the nozzles You also get the plungers matched to them and don't really need the pop testing (but that still wouldn't hurt). EGTs are not A problem with this setup on mine and smoke is only there when pulling out from A dead stop with My foot in it. Turbo will spool up 25lbs of boost before I can make it through an intersection at less than half throtle. If You go more than stage 2 though You will be wanting A larger turbo to keep it all cool when towing, so it really comes down to how much power You really need (or want) and how much You are willing to spend. Just edited when I realized My sig line has not been updated in several months.
99qc 4x4, 14cm quickspool housing with big head wastegate, 4" turbo back, stage 2 jammers, Marco's Mad ECM, Volant cold air intake, Fass, Dunrite TC, and Suncoast VB.

the nozzles are a pretty easy install. You pull the injectors like you normally would, then you have to crack the injectors open, pull the old nozzles, then put in the new ones, torque the injector back together and plop the injector back into the motor. Took me about 2.5 hours and it was the first time I've done it.
You will want to look at the turbo, exhaust and air intake though. My truck heats up pretty quick...I've seen my truck spike to 1250* on a straight run with no load, so if you're towing you'd be in trouble I think. And definitely get an EGT guage...100* more and my pistons will start melting...(keep in mind the temp is an average, so 1 cylinder may be hotter than the others). Even though my truck gets that hot, its never for a long period of time, and it has pretty impressive power...I doubt that you'd have a problem towing with my setup (other than the heat and the tranny).

Yes, You will notice a difference pulling, not so much empty. I bought a set from him last month because he doesn't require sending the cores back. injectors are brand new in the box I just installed the ez today, now theres a very noticable improvement
