New mod questions?

I just has some injector pump work done on my P7100 IP, two of the delivery valves had bad seals. While the injector pump was out I took the opportunity to have 3K GS installed and I also had them increase the timing to 16 Deg.

Now I have a few questions and one minor problem.

The problems is, when I start the truck I must tap the fuel peddle or the truck will not start. Is this due to the GSK and is it adjusted wrong?

How do I know what stock fuel plate I have? (engine has 210 HP printed on the info label)

Should I see increased power with the timing set at 16 Deg and the GSK installed? I had the truck tested at the state inspection station before the changes and after, I got no change in WOT power. Would the power increase be more at a mid range RPM and not a WOT?

My turbo wastgate opens at 22 PSI, would I need to modify this in order to get more WOT power?

They made the timing change on the injector pump and not on the engine gearing, is this a good way, and how are they different? What does the increased timing do for me?

The truck runs great and is very responsive, I love it ;D 8) But I have not pulled anything yet!

Re:New mod questions?

Cant help you on the GSK but it sounds to me like the idle is set to low if you have to tap the pedal. This is a common problem due to low idle speed.

Re:New mod questions?

Idle too low i have to agree i have mine backed off and that was my resulting symtom. I am now just in the habit of tapping the throttle lightly to start the pig, and unless someone knows how to start it they have a heck of a time getting it started or running especially in the cold
