New injectors?

New injectors?
I have an opportunity to buy a set of 6 new Bosch 300 hp injectors. The person selling them says they should give 40-60 hp and 100 ft/lbs tq gain over stock. He wants $280 for them.
I have added a superchips programmer and K+N filter so far, and plan to add a 4" exhaust in the next few months. I am wondering if the combo of the programmer and injectors will be too much fuel, and therefore, too high egts. I do not have gauges yet, but I plan on adding them soon as well (probably at same time as 4" exhaust).
Truck is a 2002 2500 4x4 with an auto trans and 3.55 gears. 40,000 miles on it.

Sounds like you been on E-Bay!
On your Automatic truck they should be around 40hp. Great injector for what they are, new, Bosch injectors. Where the "300HP Injector" name came from no one knows. They are known here as RV275 injectors because they came as stock injectors in this engine in its RV form of 275HP. Alone they will not get you to 300 HP.

Ok, thanks guys. I have heard of RV275 injestors before, but not any "300" ones. That makes more sense.
Can anyone comment on the other part of my question, about performance and egts with these sticks and what else I have in my truck?

Get rid of the K&N filter, put a bhaf on it, put the exhaust in, put gauges in, then, drop in the injectors. You dont want to have them both without the gauges. Then just wait for your tranny to start to "get wierd".

ib516,
You're on the right track, but you might consider the gauges before the injectors, that way you know what is happening as it happens etc, better safe than sorry as the old saying goes. We stock the NEW Bosch 275rv's here at DPPI at the same pricing you mentioned and you don't have to worry about E Bay's generally high shipping prices and if you get what you expected etc. Take a look at our site for gauges, it's really the best way to go etc. Call us if you have any questions etc.

I phoned the guy selling the injectors. He confirmed they are RV275 injectors, but he says another guy on ebay started calling his "300" injectors. He said he had to follow suit, or the uninformed consumers just buy the ones with the highest number attached.
I guess I'll wait until I get the egt gauge, and see how my temps are without the injectors before I add them.
