New HX35/40
So i just got this today. Won it on Ebay, here's the LINK
Here's the pics, i'm worried about the what looks like nicks on the OD of the Compressor. See pics, i'm not sure what to do at this point. Should i just run it or try to return it? It's far from flawless from what i can see. Or is this how they balance the compressor?
Other than that it looks great.

Seller states that the unit is flawless outside of a little surface rust.
Send him that pic and ask if that is considered flawless?
At 200,000 RPM, that might be a lot of imbalance!
Or it might not.

You'll need a compressor housing to fit that compressor wheel. Is that a 60mm wheel? Looks like my 60mm Borg Warner wheel and will require a modified Holset compressor housing to fit. HTT can fix you up."

If you're familiar with Holset turbos, I'd take it apart and check the shaft, bushings and thrust bearing. You should see no scoring or blueing on the shaft. The bushings should turn smoothly inside the bearing bores and the thrust bearing should show basically a "clean" spot where the shaft collar occasionaly bumps against it.
The Holset site has downloadable manuals to check diameter, endplay & runout specs.
You might spend just a few dollars more letting a local turbo shop check it out for you to keep from ending up with some expensive junk...I did.

No way that turbo eat something big enough to do that without at least nicking the blades. The blades look fine in those pics. I would have to agree with balancing cuts.

Hey, you got it from Crazydog...I bought a wheel from him...ok guy.
It fit my HTT compressor housing just fine and is presently on my engine.
The wheel that came with the compressor housing was scuffed bad and the shaft was shot...an eBay ripoff but I couldn't prove it was shipped as junk because I installed it without taking it apart or have anyone check it out...locked up at 36psi boost on the test hill. I bought a new HX35 cartridge, had the local turbo guy install Crazydog's wheel, balance the whole thing and I put it together with the HTT housing & my 14cmWG...ain't looked back.
It fit my HTT compressor housing just fine and is presently on my engine.
The wheel that came with the compressor housing was scuffed bad and the shaft was shot...an eBay ripoff but I couldn't prove it was shipped as junk because I installed it without taking it apart or have anyone check it out...locked up at 36psi boost on the test hill. Wow, it's on a new cartridge too...good for you!!!
Take your original bearing housing & compressor housing off your exhaust housing...leaving the exhaust housing bolted to your exhaust manifold.
Install the HTT compressor housing & your oil brainback tube, install that assembly on your exhaust housing (after you clean the rust from the housing hole with some emory cloth) starting the top then bottom bolts first then the collars with the side bolts. Use some antisieze on the bolt threads.
Take the oil fitting off your old turbo and screw it onto your new assembly and give it a dozen shots of clean oil from a pump type oil can, install the oil feed line and fire that baby up.
Where is your wastegate diaphram mounted?
I think HTT can get you either compressor housing.
