new goerend...what about that resistor
what is the resistor for that goes on the orange wire. it says to install it on the orange wire and dont put a fuse in the fuse holder. should i just cut the fuse holder out and use a wire nut/buttsplice. i ran it about 40 miles and it shifts like the factory trans...is it ok to run it w/o the resistor??? help needed since goerend is closed!

Are you talking about a lockup switch? If so, go to Radio Shack and get a 40ohm (I think, do a search before you actually install it) resistor and just cut the orange wire and then solder in the resitor...at least that's what I did. I also had to put a relay on mine. Works like a charm.

The resister should be 33 ohms(for a lock up switch) so as the trans relay does not need to be removed. The wire down to the trans is orange with a black tracer on my 96. Might want to call and find out for sure.

That is a resistor to fool the computer that it's only making close to stock line pressure. Install it like the instructions say to. The empty fuse holder is for if you ever wanted to go back to stock voltage without cutting wires again, it will bypass the resistor. If you dont use it you will might start seeing some limp mode 3rd gear starts.

What do the instructions say? Is this needed for a Suncoast Tranny? I installed a TC lock-up switch using the 33ohm resistor and it works great. Not sure what this other resistor is for???
