New gauges-readings?
Hi all.
I finally got the gauges installed-ISSPRO EV; fuel pressure, pyro, and boost. This is on a 2001 HO, 6 speed manual, 3:55 rear, no mods, 101,000 miles, new lift pump:
At 70 MPH, 2000 rpm, no load, on flat ground: FP: 14, Boost: 5, Pyro: 800 degrees.
At WOT: FP:9, Boost: 20, Pyro: 1150.
Are these numbers within a normal range?
Using the above instruments, what numbers should I strive for to obtain the best fuel efficiency?
Thanks,
Monte

Hi Monte,
those numbers look normal for a stock truck. Where did you mount your pyro? I've found with my 01 Ho, I get my best fuel mileage when towing my 28 ft fifthwheel between 60 and 65 miles per hour. That was before I put in my mods. We'll be leaving on a trip soon and I'll see what happens. good luck and have fun. Before long you'll probably put in some more mods.

Monte,
My gauges are piller mounted also. I ment where was your pyro mounted pre turbo or post turbo. From your readings I'd say pre turbo, Which is where you want it. If it were post turbo you want to add 2 to 3 hundred degrees to what ever the readings are. Some say 3 to 4 hundred would have to be added . That would be to much guess'n for me.
