New Garmon "Pro Flow" injectors
Yesterday I tested a new injector Jeff Garmon developed. All I can say is
This customer has a 2001 HO 6 spd. His upgrade path was a Drag Comp and 275 injectors, guages and 4" exhaust. This yeilded him 358hp. Next was an HX40, 379hp/822tq.
Jeff installed his first set of these new injectors in this truck. The turbo was wastegated to 40 psi and on injector alone, I smacked 40 psi quickly and layed down 408hp/820tq. With the Drag Comp on level 1 for fueling and 5 for response, it made 463/930. Anything above level one had no improvement except for more black smoke due to the air limits of the turbo.
The best part was that for an injector that delivers this much fuel, it idled just like a stock injector. Smoke was available if you asked for it, and not when you didn't. Power delivery was smooth and linear. At 40 psi under full throttle on injectors alone, it was not blacking out the road. On level 5x5, this FUEL at 40 psi... Goodby road. I'd really like to see what they are capable of in a 24v with twins.
