New FASS Lift Pump?

Mosse is correct..the $500+ is for the original FASS. The prices lsited are retail list for the "mini" FASS. A slight discount is available through Rip and likely others.
Moose...from the instructions I gather it's a bed mounting bolt. I'd think you'd have to hold the other end to loosen/tighten the nut. I believe it's a big Torx head and not a carriage bolt. Let me know.
My camper is a PITA to pull off. My driveway is sloped, the truck is tall and the jacks are spindly when jacked that far (max). I basically have to take it to my friends shop and he has some risers that reduce the jack travel significantly which helps a lot.

It should be the same mounting bracket as the FASS I. Can be welded to the inside or outside of the frame very quickly. I had mine done cause I have no welding equipt. Any shop could do it for you in about 10 min...if you sand down the frame where you want it mounted.

RJ, the mounting bracket is different than the FASS I. This one doesn't even touch the frame. It uses an existing bed bolt and then a hole you drill and a 3" long bolt through one of the side to side bed support boxes. You can make it out on the installation page at DPP's website, and of course I'll post some pics after I install it.

It's still the same heavy pump unit as the FASS I. They were designed to bolt on and had their share of troubles in the beginning (May have been a weaker bracket). Welding would still be an excellent way to go...No?

ok, update: I installed the new FASS II pump on 24Dec and everything went relatively smooth. I also got my PM3 box back from TST which works now...simply amazing what a little electronic box can do
Anyway the FASS.....15psi @ idle about 13psi @ 70mph, and I was able to pull it to almost 10psi with the box on level 6 at WOT. My current fuel filter is a NAPA and will be changed out when I do an oil change in about 800 more miles, so I think a little more steady pressure will be had.
The bed bolt that holds part of the bracket down threads into the bed support brace. There is no nut on the other end...also I believe it was a 15mm hexhead bolt, so Rattletrap, you don't need to pull your camper
The only problem I had was that I don't have a stubby right angle drill, so for the three inch bolt (other end of the bracket) I took some measurements and drilled from the opposite side of the bed brace, and luckily it lined up with the FASS bracket.
I can't really hear the pump running from inside the cab while the engine is running, and it's only a nice hum from standing outside the truck or in the bed.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the seemingly good quality of the pump, higher pressure, and good price....not to mention that warranty.
Pics will be posted as soon as I get them off the camera.

when you install this new fass do you take the old lift pump completley off the engine, or does this other pump just pump right thru the stock LP... And does it come with all the necessary wiring & fuel hose that you need to complete the job?

From what I understand you can leave the stock pump in place, and use the new pump as a "pusher" pump or take the stock pump out. Most are just taking the old pump out and tossing it. Its is going to fail anyway, sooner than later.
The pump does come with complete instructions (you can down looad them from their web site) wiring, bracket, hose, camps, ect. It pretty complete from what I saw.

RJ, not sure who's camper you're talking about although mine and Rattle's are almost the same. Headroom I'm guessing 6'4", and if I remember correctly it weiged in about 3600#. It's an 11 foot camper, meaning it hangs out the back of the bed by 3'....not a small piece of cargo. There's two half*** pics of it in my gallery.
As far as the FASS, yes it is a complete kit to the filter housing, and I removed the stock LP off the engine bracket....probably to meet a 9mm round or two someday Remember though I also got a section of hose and -6an fittings with a fuel pressure gauge tap in one to finish the job from the filter housing to the VP, which I ordered seperately from Rip.
