New FASS II Motor?

I just installed my FASS II a couple of days ago and just realized there are no "brush caps" to replace the brushes. They must have gone to a non-serviceable motor. Anyone else notice this?
I have serial # 1980.

I think it is an updated design with a brushless motor. I think its better than mine with the brush caps.

Nice...................

Can't say you weren't warned!

On a serious note, the "brushless" motors in new appliances are pretty much fool proof (so,... you'll be safe)

I'll try to figure out a way to bomb the FASS motor. Maybe I'll hook a Walbro up to it.

I called Brad @ Diesel Performance Products (FASS makers) he said the reason for the change was a better quality motor. They were having problems with brush caps leaking, cracking, guys loosing them, ect., so they decided to go with the "non serviceable, totally enclosed" motor. The motors are designed to go much longer than the old ones where you could change the brushes, his estimate is well over 500,000 miles.

ALSO! ***** You heard it here at DTR first! ******

DPP is coming out with a whole new line of fuel pumps in just a few weeks! Brad would not go into too much detail, but clearly this will be a HUGE announcement concerning lift / fuel pumps and diesel engines.

Thats is good to hear. I will be replacing my Holley Blue pump before long I'm sure. Maybe we have found a good solution for the LPs.

Sounds like a good thing to me too. Sounded like they are coming up with pumps where you can regulate the pressure easier, and for more applications diesel, & gassers.

Maybe a fuel cooled motor?
