New Delivery Valves (HELP)

This weekend I put in some Laser cut delivery valves. The power increase is great and the smoke is not horrible. I have a problem though. At about 1000 rpm it starts to stumble and at 1100 it gets really bad and by 1200 rpm it is gone. It does it in nuetral and in gear so it is not because I am lugging it. It does not do it when the engine is cold but as it starts to reach temperature it gets worse. I am not sure if I messed something up or what. It is just wierd that it only happens at certain RPM's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope that I am not hurting anything.
Thanks in advance,
Justin

Re:New Delivery Valves (HELP)

is your pump the 160 pump? J.R. told me if I put a set of DV;s in my truck I would get a stumble or somthing like that. I do have one qusetion. Is it liveable? I plan on putting the DV's in my truck in the next two weeks and it will noe be until next summer until I will have the money to have my pump sent off and tuned. If you have a 215 pump then I don't have a clue :-

dodgeman01,

I have the 175h.p. pump. It sounds like we are in the same boat. I want to have my pump sent out as well but I can't afford it right now. The stumble is not horrible and it is only at the lower RPM. Who is J.R. and is there any way that I can talk to him. I think that you will be happy with the power that you get from these delivery valves. Hopefully I can get this figured out and I will let you know.

You are going to get a bit of a stumble with the cut DV's ... interesting that the stumble is not there when the engine is cold ??? You can fool around with the gov springs and get alot of it out ... but it will always be there ..... I just drive right through it ....

Re:New Delivery Valves (HELP)

Thanks for the replies guys. I have noticed that the more I drive the truck with these DV's the more I get used to it and I am learning to drive right trough it. I just wanted to make sure that I was not hurting anything. What can I do with the Gov springs to get some of it out. Will it help if I get the 4k kit. Thanks again for the replies. I feel better now knowing that it is normal.

losen them up a bit. one click each side until it stops or you are on the last click like me :- and I don't even have the dv's yet. I only notice it when driveing behind a slow car. my usual driveing I never notice it but I'm never under 2k rpms
