new custom front bumper tell me what u think

Looks really good, I would have used bigger pipe for the grill part but thats just me! I have built a few nice bumpers for Dodges and I think the personal satisfaction is the #1 bonus of making it! ...Although I wouldn't mind selling a few lol

Eek 225lb is pretty dang heavy! If I make a new one for my truck or buy another truck I am going to cut out ever bit of useless weight possible. I want my next one to be a full replacement but weigh less than 100lbs.

Good job man thats the best home made bumper I have seen none of the ones I have seen even come close I even passed over this post a few times because I was expecting far less.. realy good job. and I think @ $900.00 you would sell a lot of them. If I had the $$$ I'd take one but with the hoop on top angeled forward a bit..

the grill guard does angle forward about 6 inches out farther than the base of it. are you saying project farther out than the bumper itself because it is even with the front . if you are wanting one less that 100 lbs you are gonna want aluminum a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of 3/16" steel plate weighs 7.5 lbs.

I make mine like Ranchhands, 4" pipe with 1/8" diamond plate. The bumper in my gallery weighed about 150 and there is a couple areas I overbuilt too much. Yes it did bend (not the pipe though) but I don't think any bumper would withstand a 40-45mph collision with a tree lol.
Ahain dude it looks really good!

I think it looks great. You did a really nice job "frenching" the license plate in, and blending the fog light openings into the bumper. I'm not a fan of the grill gaurd, but I don't like them on a lot of the other aftermarket bumpers either. My only suggestion would be to maybe incorperate a receptical in it for your block heater.
