New Bosch "Hot Rod" VP44 installed...

I lost my stock Vp last week and had a new hot rod pump installed, although I am not sure if it is called a "Hot Rod" VP44. I thought it was going to be the one from Ind. Inj, but apparently this one is from Bosch, and has only been around for a couple of months. There are no idle problems that the II ones seem to be known for. Anyway, after about 100 miles of driving it so far, I can say that it makes a HUGE difference in performance, seat of the pants, EGT's, boost, smoke, everything. Everything else is just like the stock one was. No change in idle or any of the other issues that some of the other pumps seem to have (or so I have read) Now it is time for the tranny mods...

Ran me $1700. Mine was going anyway, so I figured why not. Glad I did...

It's probably still an II pump. They are a Bosch pump shop. All the VP44's are Bosch pumps and have to be remanned by a certified Bosch shop.

I'm also willing to bet it's a II HRVP. I just installed mine this weekend along with some mach 6 injectors. As far as idle goes, it sounds the same as my SO pump and stock injectors did. No lope or higher idle.

Some pumps get the rough idle, others don't. Luck of the draw it seems.
