Smile new to all the upgrades

Hey all,

I've got a 2001 cummings and I want to start to upgrade it so I can tow more. Where would be the best place for a beginner to start. Keep in mind, I'm not up on all the lingo so most of the stuff you guys talk about goes over my head. Don't be afraid to talk down to me inorder to help me get started. Everyone has to start somewhere, Right?

thanks,
Wilddog

First off is to get Gauges: pyro/Boost/Fuel and tranny if you have an auto.

Wildhog, First off, welcome to DTR! Fill out your signature block in your profile for us.

Safety first, get gauges. You'll need them to keep an eye on everything.

Mild mods would include Edge EZ box, for sale at the DTR online store or any vendor. You could also look at RV275 injectors, do a search plenty of info. Combo of EZ and 275 are good for around 100 hp.

Beyond that you will start looking at transmission goodies.

intake kit, 4" exhaust system, gauges, power module - which one depends on if you have auto or manual trans, and how much you are towing (weight) how often, and if auto transmission, valve body and torque converter if trans. in good shape.
