Hey NYCMIKE,
I would trade the superduty for the Cummins.
You would be trading a light duty powerstroke for a Medium duty rated Cummins Engine.

These engines are easily upgraded to 400+rwhp and even alot more with more air and fuel added into the mix.
The best thing is that they have the ability to have adjustable power and reliability.

Most Cummins 5.9's will run about 400,000 miles before a need for a rebuild.
A extremely modified truck will still run 200,000 miles if properly maintenenced.
