Need info on coil springs
Anyone know what the spring rate is for springs on an early 2nd gen with no winch/plow/bumper?
Im looking to get some 3" or maybe 5" coil springs and need some numbers to get the right parts. Dont want to get anything that will sag over time if possible.
Also trying to find 2" add-a-leafs that wont send the back end hopping over potholes when empty. can someone point me in the right direction?

As far as an add a leaf, any AAL is gonna shoot the rear spring rate through the roof. In order to force more arch into the spring, the AAL has to be a pretty thick piece of steel, consequently it doesn't move very well.
I'd suggest Carli's add a pack, it'll cost about $200 more than an AAL but it's well worth the price.

Looks like the SJ only has 2.5 and 4 inch springs with no 3". =(
I think Ill wait till Im ready for the 5".
The only numbers Ive seen are 400lb. Im also looking for rate info in kg/mm. I think a spring mfr needs the rate to make the springs.

a few are listed here... http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/springs.htm

Just take your in-lb rate and either divide by 55.88 or multiply it by .01789 to get the rate in kg/mm.

I had http://www.coilsprings.com make me a set. They look way better then the D25's, they don't have that stretched out look, and are custom to your specs.

What spring rate did you get?
I'm thinking up to 450lb/in on the stiff end, and as low as 320 on the soft end-- depending on the shocks.
I'd like to go with softer springs, but it's only if you have good (bypass) shocks-- and I don't.

I don't recall the specific number, I wanted them close to stock ( No plans for an aftermarket bumper or winch ). They were able to get the info needed off of the ID sticker on the stock springs.
I am very happy with them, appearance and performance! I also had them powdercoated before install.
