Need Help On P Pump 24v, Pump Wont Fit

Saturday we were putting togethere my buddies motor (whic started out as a 12v) the short block all went toghther smoothly. we put fly cut common rail pistons in the 12v block the a haisley puller cam ans thrust plate retainer. then we installed an fire ringed 24v head with haisley head studs and there valve springs with hardeded ratainers and billet bridges. it all went smooth until we tried to bolt up the pump. we are still using a 12v front cover so that wasent a problem. The oil feed on the pump dosent have enough clearence. it'll go in with the line off but with the line on it hits the intake runner. there is an oil feed on the other side, but it isn't restricted like the on on the inside. I think if we had a 90 degree fitting we could make it work, but was wondering if any of you p pump conversion trucks had this problem and what you did.

Might have to take a little meat off the intake?? Do you still have the 12v head to compare it with?

no but i looked on my truck, and there is plenty of room on a 12v. it's hitting right on the bottom of the intake runner so there isn't much material to be removed

you need to grind a bit off the head and get a tight 90 for the oil fitting. I made my own oil fitting down at the shop with 2 pieces tig welded together to clock to the right position. Eventually I cut a piece off the corner to make it easier to reach the pump mounting bolt.

Ron, could you just get a tight 90 from some where like Napa for this? Also, how much grinding did you have to do?
