I know mines a 3rd gen but it seems that the Sledpuller66 is more popular on the 3rdgens. Anyway, the Sledpuller lites up like a nuclear blast. On my truck it'll hold 10-15psi up to 15or 1600 rpm's and then go straight to 45psi and the tires start screaming. I absolutely love it, and it keeps the EGT's in check better than I had expected. The only real problem is there is a slight surging while towing heavy when you get on the throttle in 6th, you can learn to drive through it. I don't mind it because it is due to boost pressure being greater than drive pressure, which is actually a good thing to know. It does bark alot too, but it sounds much cooler than the stock turbo when it does it, and it's significantly louder all the time compared to a stocker...

I haven't dynoed since I had only the Bully Dog and the TST w/ stock turbo(465hp 919tq), now I've added the Edge EZ, and the Sledpuller and gains are huge over the old setup. I plan on dynoing this combo soon, it should be into the 550rwhp range, but we'll see.

seabee,
I can barely hit 1050F on level 1 and I have to ring its neck to get it there. It does smoke at low boost on this level, but, nothing bad.

Awesome, 3 questions. Actually 2 questions, 1 statement.
1- What does HT set the wastegate at on the Sledpuller
2- Can i still Squeeze my Scooter II in there?
3- WHoever has pics of them mounted in the truck needs to put them up (SLEDS find a scanner or a digital camera and get em up)!

Htturbo generally sets the wastegate around 40psi, if you ask they can set it to whatever you want. The scotty2 fits just fine with no mods necessary. I have no surge issues, but, this turbo is fairly easy to bark if your in it hard and get out to quick. I have learned to drive around it. Spool up is very good for such a large single. Even with the comp turned off, it spools good. I will try and get pics up tomorrow.

Dynoed 3/11/05

dragcomp set on kill. 571.1hp 1095.6 ftlb.
comp level 1 437.2hp 910.2 ftlb.
injectors only 417.3hp 821.5ftlb.

Meatball

Sorry, had a busy day. I will get them up, hopefully tomorrow. By the way I would start with some arp head studs. O-ringing is one of the last things I would do if the head gasket kept popping. Just my $.02

I've got the Sledpuller and like it. I previously had the HTB2 and liked it also but I knew it wouldn't handle my future plans.
