Quad,
Box arrived Friday. Had a weekend from hell though, work related oncall not the beta XZT, so I haven't installed yet. That will be correct nlt tomorrow.
Got a couple of questions:
The switch appears to be a standard 3 possition type. But is not marked, nor covered in the installation instructions, indicating which position is for which setting. Once installed experimentation will reveal, but it would be nice to know ahead of time.
What is the most common means of routing the wiring harness into the cab? New hole or existing one?
Thanks

There is a rubber plug just above and to the side of the the brake peddle assembly. It kinda looks like a football shape. Two plastic plugs hold it in place. Puch the plactic plugs from the inside of the cab.

My box arrived on Friday also. I wanted to check back here on the best way to go through the firewall too.
JPR - That football shape, it's from your 2000 model right? Mine is a 2000 model too. I don't remember seeing the shape your talking about. Can you describe it and it's location in more detail. Thanks.
Also, my switch did not have a nut on it. The flange is threaded, but no nut. I bet a small / thin nut to fit that may be hard to find at the hardware store. Quad - Anyway to get a nut or two put in a baggie in a regular envelope?
Lastly - Where do you guys think you'll put this switch? I like my stealthiness, so what I was thinking was to put the switch on the ashtray upper surface. When the ashtray was closed, you would see nothing. Open the ashtray, and switch is oriented with the lever down(ish) flip the switch to where I want it and close the ash tray. How does that sound?

As where to mount the switch, I haven't found a spot I like yet. So it's just dangleing around the steering colmn and auto shifter for now.
I was thinking of using the ash tray door and building a fuse/control switch panel for it and maybe for aux lights and such. I just don't know yet.

I did a search, seems like the area your talking about is the grommet used in the slushbox trucks. Mine is a manual tranny. I don't think I have that. The grommet for the main wire harness has some room, looks like I'll cut a slit in it.

Im like Jpr my switch is jammed between the dash and the gauge pod. I did not get a nut with my box also no big deal I will go to radio shack and buy a small switch and take the nut from it. I was thinking of mounting my switch in my gauge pod that runs down the pillar I also mounted my low fuel pressure light there I am not a big fan of drilling holes. And im the one stacking with the banks box.

The box was sitting on my front porch when I got home this morning . Same deal, no nut for the switch and the switch isn't labeled or identified.
I'm swamped at work and won't get it installed until Friday. Can one of you guys that has it in, in the next couple of days post the wire color/switch position so the rest of us won't have to guess
