qzilla - Your guy called me, I'm patiently waiting. I guess I'm the 2nd group. I've got the money waiting. No rush. I'll feed back as accurate information as I can. If there are some instructions, or feedback information needing to be completed, I will fully cooperate. Thanks for the opportunity!

I am patiently waiting on mine. But, I have an interesting question about what you wrote. With being able to change back and forth is this going to sort of like the smarty in the end. With different programs to choose from just hook it to the puter and wala.

I am not sure how the Smarty works on the updates so I cannot really comment on that.

Here is how it works. They will all ship with 1 program on them. That will be adjustable on the fly and meant for a mostly stock truck.

On our website there will be alternate tuning files. Like, stupid bottom end and smoke (for this type module), program for large injectors, programs for little to no smoke, Really advanced timing, etc. You just go on and download the file you want and update the box. You can go back and forth and play with whatever you like. From what I know out of testing is that everyone likes something a little bit different. SHould only take a minute or so to update.

ALl the downloads will keep it to have 3 levels and the function will not change, just how and what tuning is done. These are not set in stone yet and we are still playing with different things. We are mainly trying to polish up the production software first.

The beta guys will get to play with this before production so that when they ship we know it all works and is ready.

Are you talking about the small 65hpbox or the Race box? From the looks of it you would be wanting the Race box?

We have not started Beta testing for the Race box yet. I put a couple of Alpha boxes out there to make sure we had our ducks in a row before we shipped something like that to beta test. That thing is Nasty!

Well, we are not really Beta testing the Race box. When I posted I asked for 1 truck on a first some first serve basis.

Trust me we will do a large test when we get to that point.

Quad - I was just wondering if I should deal with you here or call into Quadzilla? I'd like to get this box to you all to remedy this pump shuddering I'm getting on the high level while cruising. At first I wasn't sure if it was just these horrible roads or the pump. It's the pump and only when I lug the rpms low while cruising.

You can work with both of us. This is the original box we sent out correct? We do believe we have this fixed except maybe for a couple of guys with gigantic injectors.

I know they shipped off a box on Thursday or Friday to someone that was stacking with a Banks, not sure if that was you or not? You might call Roark. That is the only downside to talking to me is that I cannot keep up with who got sent what and when it got sent!!! I am just here to solve the problems.

We actually have plastic samples in hand and they look good! So as we update and or replace boxes or send the new ones out they have the newer plastics although they are the wrong color! They still look good!

Also if you got a new one coming it will have the USB enabled so that we can do any and all updates online or via email. It will come with a USB cable as well!

Yeah, this is the first box. No I didn't stack with the Banks. It's been in about 2 weeks now, but I didn't use the top setting because my Banks gauges need the Ottomind to operate. So I purchased a Recon. And MAN-O-MAN !!!!!!! This accelerates so much better on the bottom end than the Banks. The turbo spools up so much quicker. Besides the pump shudder issue, I'm loving it!!!!!

I'll call Roark. Oh BTW, since this is the first box, when you send it back to me, will the USB be enabled?

What is the difference between these and the XZT units that are already available on eBay for the 98-02 trucks?

And did all beta units ship yet?........(patiently waiting on mine)

Quad,

Box arrived Friday. Had a weekend from hell though, work related oncall not the beta XZT, so I haven't installed yet. That will be correct nlt tomorrow.

Got a couple of questions:

The switch appears to be a standard 3 possition type. But is not marked, nor covered in the installation instructions, indicating which position is for which setting. Once installed experimentation will reveal, but it would be nice to know ahead of time.

What is the most common means of routing the wiring harness into the cab? New hole or existing one?

Thanks
