need to cool down

the truck is running real good alot better than expected however egt's are out of sight. at the strip its at 1600 as soon as its off the line. the truck is a 2002 auto dually with mach 7's . edge box, tst comp box. fass 150, and a hx 40 over an ht3b with a 14 housing. whats the biggest top turbo that can be ran with an ht3b? id like to go a little bigger. i know an intercooler would help as well as a snow kit but id like to stay drug free. the truck ran a 12.40 on diesel only. suprised the heck out of me.

There is a 14 housing on the ht3b? Most people run 26's. I think with that much fuel, you will need some sort of drugs to keep it cool.

I bet the 40/ht3b combo is just about out of it's efficency map with that much fuel. You may want to try changing the 14 housing out to a 16cm or even a laggy 18cm to handle the extra fuel. What's your drive pressure?

The first thing to do is see what drive pressures are doing. If you're over 1.1:1 exhaust pressure:boost, then you need a larger charger or bigger wastegate. When you establish that ratio, then you'll be able to see how much larger you want to go on the hotside of the secondary & possibly a larger primary.
