Need advice on turbo

I am looking for a turbo to help control egt's while towing. I have been told HX35/40, but I wanted to get advice from the guys who know best (my DTR buddies). Note the exhaust brake that I do need to keep for towing in the mountains. Thanks in advance, Mike

I would stay away from hybrids such as the 35/40. Thats just me though. I've always had bad luck with hybrids. You could go with a PDR 40 or talk to HTT and see what they can get you. IMHO I think you would be better off doing that. Not to mention it would cool a lot better than a 35/40. Good luck

Will a PDR 40 bolt on with an exhaust brake?

I think you'd have to get a brake made for a 4" down pipe because you'll have to go to a 4" down pipe for the 40 unless you already have one for a 4" DP.

The 35/40 is just like the upgrade kit from HTT that uses a 60mm wheel. It uses the same size shaft and you can keep the exhaust brake that you have. The 35 and 40 use the same shaft lo the hybrid is just as strong. I'm having a 35/40 made now for my truck. The only time we have had probs with a hybrid is when it was built wrong or way over boosted. The HTT is a good kit or even the full 40 but the exhaust housing sizes are limited on the 40.

What if I went with A bigger turbo all together, is there such thing as an exhaust brake for the 4" pipe instead of the replacement elbow, that will function off the same actuator that I already have?
