She didn't talk to me for a couple of days after the 4" striaght piped exhaust went in! Me, I had to take muscle relaxers to get the slack eyed grin off my face!

Now back on track - cause I am new to all this, and speaking ot the little 5 speed tranny that could, what's the deal with this fifth gear nut thing I keep hearing about?

Look forward to meeting you. I'll be bringing a buddy of mine who just stepped into the ranks of diesel ownership, primarily after we went to Colorado and back in mine. He bought a 2004 HO. He wants to wear out the factory warrenty before beginning the bombing. His wife blames me and won't speak to me either!!

My 5th gear nut is untouched, never had one problem out it it in 5 years. (knock on wood) I was told the secret is to not lug the truck down under a load if you keep the revs up this is suposeed to help keep the nut on the shaft. I don't know if that's true but it seems to have worked for me.

I guess there is a reason I'm single, I seem to spend more time and money on my truck then I do with the ladies. :-[ Oh well, it's probeble cheaper that way. ;D
