i just bought a 1998 24v the other day and the second owner claimed that the first owner said there was an aftermarket turbo ... well turns out its an hx50 with stock injectors... what should i do with my money ... new injectors or new programmer .. or both

That 50 is probably going to be pretty laggy regardless what you do so try something smaller. There's usually hx35's in the classifieds here.

 

I would find some big injectors to help spool that monster. That one big sluggish turbo buddy. Which turbine housing does it have? It might be ok if its been down sized on the housing. Chances are the guy before was running decent sized stick in the truck.

 

ya injectors some sort of box or programmer, gauges, and fuel system to make sure ur I.P is gettin the fuel it needs

 

a big shot of water meth will help spin the turbo.
