the 12v will crack the ears on the exhaust ports w/ the stock manifold. The key is to release the tension on the bolts and retorque every so often.
I had a 97 w/ a couple cracked ears... I buzzed the cracks w/ my little mig welder (cranked HIGH) just to get me by. Actually worked pretty dang good! LOL!
