My first dyno run.
Well this past weekend at the drag races in Commerce I decided to run my truck on the dyno. It was the first time that I had put it on the dyno and I was thinking I would see about 300hp maybe a little less, but I saw a wee bit more than I expected. The only problem that I had was my TC was slipping.
First run: 315hp and 621tq--Comp box on 5x5
Second run: 307hp and 674tq--Comp box on 5x5 T/C was slipping good.
Third run 286hp and 622tq--Comp box on 4x5 Turned the box down b/c of the T/C
I just got off the Phone with Jeff Garmon and talked with him about prices and all that good stuff, so I should have Suncoast tranny with in a few weeks. And boy I am PUMPED!
How do yall think my curves look?

Yeah I'll get that fixed, but now I gotta fix my tranny issue first. I mean I gotta be able to put the power to the ground some how.
Thanks for the comment.

I'm new to the dyno and haven't even seen one run yet. Can you tell me how it works? What is the proceedure? Do you shift through the gears in a stick or just do one or what? I'm completely ignorant in the dyno subject. I would like to dyno mine after this weekend when I put the new toys on. Anyone? Thanks, JWB
I don't mean to hyjack you thread, just thought I'd ask while I was here.

if you got an auto, then you wait till you shift into overdrive since thats the only time your stock TC is locked up, ruffly around 70 to 75 mph. soon as you get to that speed, they tell you when and you punch it till it redlines and bam your done. same with the stick i believe but dont quote me on that one i only have a auto.

We make our runs in 3rd gear (1:1 ratio) with O/D locked out, this let the TQ lock. If you have a lock up switch then you can make a run from a lower rpm because it will not downshift locked up. If you don't have a switch then you have to make a run from about 40 MPH-up so it doesn't downshift

He's also running II's Hot Rod VP. that makes up for a good bit of fueling.

As for the correction factor, I have no idea. What is correction factor? Like I said that was the first time my truck had ever been dynoed, and I'm new to the dynoing also.
