I have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on the transmission hump and
a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the cubby hole.I used steel braided
lines on both for the ability to withstand outside wear from rubbing , not
for strengh in holding pressure. Remember you are only seeing 15-16 psi
of pressure on the fuel side.It would be very unlikely for a hose to
completely seperate at those pressures. More likely is the hose or tube
to slowly get a small hole rubbed through it , resulting in a very small drip.
You would probably smell the diesel righ away and catch the problem
before you got any significant fuel in the cab.
