ive had two autometers fail in my rockbuggy, and two or three fail in another buggy i built. even had an oil pressure guage that i was keeping as a spare jump up to 62 psi still in the box. i use all mechanical guages. ive had a water temp guage peg out, drop down to 240 and stay there, tho when the motor would run and warm up, the needle would climb to 280. the other buggy has gone thru a fuel level and oil pressure. i probably need to dig these busted ones out and send them in and see what they will do with them. i wouldnt mind getting a few new ones for spares.
even after all these problems, they are the only guage i will trust on my buggy's motor and trans.
and their customer service is top notch.

Hohn,
Good to hear you got that resolved. I had the exact same problem also.
I "think" I read somewhere about your concern about tearing your pillar apart to put the new gauge in.
I also had this problem with my windshield pod. What I did was make quick detatches for the wiring on the back of the guage. Just male/female connectors. Pop the gauge out a little, unplug the connectors and light, guage is sitting in your hand. No fuss no muss. I've had no problems with this setup what so ever.
Just put new connectors on the new guage, connect it, plug light back in, and your set.

I like the NVs better, both daylight and lit up at night.
