mpg increase with Edge EZ?
I'm down less than 1/4 of a tank since the installation of the Edge and subsequent refueling, and the overhead is reading 3.5 - 4.5 mpg higher than it ever has; Even assuming it is a non-linear increase, I am guessing that this will translate into at least 2 mpg better once the hand calculations are done -
- is this a typical increase?!?! I ran a few days with my foot inexplicably "heavy", but have driven "normally" since the fill-up...
The overhead reads from 18 - 20.5 throughout the year, depending on the ambient / fuel blend, etc., and now I'm seeing 24+...does the Edge screw up the computer calculated mileage that is displayed on the overhead?
Thx / Rauschbo

Your overhead is wrong. Hand calculation is the only way to get an accurate reading. Yes, 1-2mpg seems pretty typical for the mileage increase, once you get past the honeymoon stage (Right foot=more fun)

- yep, I've know the overhead is off from day one, thus the mention of the hand calculation in my first post; I am assuming, however, that the "offset" inherent in the overhead reading v. actual is at least somewhat first order, and thus the notable increase displayed is indicative of a "real" gain in mpg...

I didn't install the elbow, the "manual" indicates it is effective at greater than 20 psi, I've never hit 20 (I am a bbit nervous about going WOT with the stock TC, even with the VB in the tranny)....I've hit 19 psi fairly easily, maybe I should go ahead and run it a bit harder - and start saving for a new transmission?!?

An overhead that was dead on before the EZ install will be upwards of 5mpg off after installation.

I'm in the same boat except I don't have the overhead calculations. Last tank I was getting just over 15 mpg (nursing a bad VP44) Just filled up this morning and put the EZ on half way through the tank and got 17 mpg. Can't wait to see what I get after the VP44 gets replaced this weekend.

Bone stock I was getting approx 17.5. With the EZ I went up to 19-19.3. I was doing mostly in town driving too. Never did get a chance to stretch her legs. Sold the EZ and went stright back to 17 in a hurry!! Got injectors installed back up to 19. See we don't do it for the performance, we do it for the milage right
