Most power made with F1 Mach 4s?
I've seen these injectors taken to over 620hp by guys like ROWJ.
So who's got the most HP from M4s?
How about on fuel only?
Nitrous?
Water/meth?
HRVP?
Stock HO pumps?
Thanks for posting if you know.

Stock SO pump, Drag Comp
I made 510hp with a Dodgezilla turbo, and 565hp with my 62/14 over S400 twins. #2 only.
I doubt this is the most on #2 though. The 565hp was just a baseline before I started tuning on the twins. They were setup more for the dragstrip at that time, then for the dyno.

I would say so. 12.14 is nutz on Mach 4's. I would still like to know what the set up was with the 4's.

dzlfarmboy is right, that truck is a freak...
twins (35/40 with 16cm non wastegated housing over bht3b with 26cm housing and a big external wastegate), ats manifold, 5" exhaust with no muffler, afe filter, dtt trans built by John DiMartino, mach 4's, head ported and o-ringed by Don M, arp studs, .020 gasket, edge drag comp, bd rad, fass, lots of gauges... i may be forgetting something, but i think that's all the big stuff.

A guy did 622 on M4's in front of me at a Dallas dyno event using a Dynojet and no correction factor on #2 only. He had the old school B1/B2 twins.
Then he used water/meth with them and got it 725HP. I fell over! LOL

Did 580hp with 4's, TST PM3, H20/Meth....... 632 hp with 4's, TST Comp and H2O/Meth...but, after a while, I didn't trust the numbers.
This was on a Mustang Dyno in ideal conditions....Set up (supposedly) to duplicate Dynojet numbers! But I could never got close to those #'s on a Dynojet??
That's why my signature reads as it does.
The 12.7/104 was on 4's also. Haven't been able to better it with 6's in two trips to the track. Too much fuel to build good boost on the line!

Thanks for the replies, everyone.
I suppose I should have forseen this thread possibly heading down the track of "dyno hp" vs "track hp", correction factors, and so on. Thanks for keeping it on track thus far.
I have to say that I always thought these M4s were an amazing injector-- probably the most "versatile" in Don's line-- but I didn't think they were capable of clearing 600hp.
It's been done, though-- much to my pleasant surprise.
Anyone HO pumps clearing clearing 550 with M4s? 575? 600?
The fact that M4s are small enough to be daily driveable with a stock turbo and no EGT issues while still being big enough to detroy the 500hp mark really says a lot about them..

those things run cool enough while using a stock turbo? I was thinking of getting a set of these for my truck, but figured I'd have to keep close watch on the egt gauge, especially on my trips upstate.

I can't say necessarily what they'd do in another truck, but with my stock turbo and such they have been great.
I installed them last July and lived in Cheyenne WY at the time. That means the air was hot and rare (high altitude) with density altitude cresting 9300 feet! I found that I could control the smoke with driving technique, getting just a tiny puff from a dead stop. I also found that my EGTs wouldn't crest 1400 until I was already breaking the speed limit posted on I-80 (75mph) at wide open pedal! 1500 is the hottest I could intentionally get it, and that way tough to do.
Even then, I suspect the EGT rise had more to do with the stock turbo choking on nearly 38psi in that thin air.
Later, I drove the truck in the opposite climate: Tampa FL in the dead of winter. EGTs were lower, and the clutch that was previously holding now slipped at will. Typical outside temps were in the upper 50s and lower 60s, and elevation is essentially sea level +/- 20 ft or so. I could still only get my turbo to 38psi, and EGTs would just kiss 1300 before I had to get out of it.
All this just affirmed in my mind that big injectors don't automatically mean high EGTs. It's not how much fuel you have, it's how much you use. The stock turbo can support up to about 350hp-- whether you have 300hp worth of fuel or 450 worth of fuel won't change that.
I wouldn't hesitate at all to tow with M4s and a stock turbo, because I know the truck's limits and don't tow things very heavy. But I'd never recommend them to someone who plans on pulling HEAVY loads like a big TT or 5er with a stock turbo.
The irony is that heavier loads seem to tow best with smaller turbos. The factory charger is arguably the best towing turbo widely used on these trucks.
M4s and stock charer work well enough running around town empty, but the turbo just "feels" way too small. There's essentially zero lag on the hwy, and the boost rises much faster than the HP output seems to-- which all point to an undersized turbo.
That's why I've been posting so much on turbos lately, as I'm doing a ton of reading...
