Did a 425 mile round trip on fuel saver....all highway. Hand calculated out to +1 mpg! Still good timing and more responsive than I expected. Just no smoke!

Ok just did a mileage test.
I ran unloaded (mostly) on a 5 hour trip with the wife and 2 kids. I made the trip going with the smarty on 7 running 70 to 85 nearly the whole way. Result, 23 mpg. That is up from my usual 19.5 running 70.
For the way back I set it up on 1 for fuel saver. I noticed I was running more boost than I did on 7 at 70. In fact since traffic was bad, I averaged 65 and 70 the whole way back. Result 20 mpg.
Fuel saver actually did not change my milage much over .5 mpg from my RV 275's and boost fooler.
Since I was running on 7 before, this morning when I filled I loaded 5 to do an in town check for this tank.
Over all I love it. I did run on 9 when I first got it but it makes my truck act funny. I can smash it, and it pulls HARD, but if I let off a little bit I get a surge of power. If I am in it hard at about 3/4 throttle, and let off briefly then hit it again, I swear I get a surge of power then it settles down. Because of the way it was acting I thought my throttle position sensor was freaking out. Then I thought, maybe it's my tranny slipping. Now I am not sure. Tranny is acting just fine on any other setting.
It seems like the truck ran as good on 7 as it did 9. I have not tried the even numbered ones yet.
