more questions about smarty

Anybody actually put the smarting on the dyno?

How much more power is it able to put out with everything stock?

Is it the typical 60 hp and 165 torque?

does all the catcher programs put the same power output, just in a different way?

Any more on milage increases in fuel saver mode?

I'm getting close to buying one, My Ez is going for sale now.

thanks

Dan

I haven't dyno'd since the Smarty, but I expect to see some gain just not much. They don't claim much, so that is why I don't expect much. Now if you asked me how much time can you cut off your 1/4 mile time, I'd say a significant amount. It is much, much quicker on my truck. On the dyno, I hope to see 20hp or so to be realistic. I've heard of one instance where one guy lost hp on the dyno. His truck is a big hp truck though, I don't think that will be normal....he still see's a lot of advantages with the Smarty though in drivability and with the fuel saver program.

I'm headed to get my tranny done at Georends. He has a dyno, I'll see what I can do. It would be interesting to see a before & after tranny fix also. I'll ask him.

So from the website it has been know to add around 60hp on stock trucks. Also a new tranny replacing a bad tranny can feel like a 60 hp increase as well. I'm interested in the before and after tranny comparo as well.
